Dr. Leng decided on ophthalmology as a specialty because the eye is a beautiful organ with a profound impact on the human experience. It reflects the health and diseases of the body and interfaces with nearly all other organ systems. She enjoys studying the eye and preventing and treating diseases that affect vision, as well as whole person health. She values patient empowerment through education, because the more patients know about their own health, the better they can care for themselves. A physician-patient partnership based in evidence is crucial to health and wellness. She and her husband, Stephen Allred, moved to Auburn, CA in 2014 and enjoy raising their young children in the beautiful foothills. As someone with too many hobbies, when she’s not in the office, she enjoys her kids, playing the piano and violin, cooking, photography, running and being in the great outdoors and most recently, making soap!
